MINING

We have been lucky enough to work with a wide range of mining companies, helping them to revitalise their risk management so that it becomes a competitive advantage and supports the industry to become more responsible.

Mining is at our core in Satarla.  Our founders: Sarah, Tankiso and Laura all met whilst working for one of the worlds largest mining companies.  They saw the benefit that truly integrated, enterprise-wide risk management can bring to an organisation that wants to be sustainable yet also provide a profit to its shareholders.

RECENTPROJECTS INCLUDE:

TITLE GOES HERE

Full refresh of risk management across the entirety of a mid-tier Australian mining company which included the design and delivery of over 550 risk workshops, attended by over 5000 people in 10 months across 5 continents.  Participants included everyone from the coal face to CEO.

TITLE GOES HERE

Drafting of the group-wide policy and accompanying procedures on resilience and recovery for one of the world’s largest mining companies.  This centred on aligning the requirements from interested parties including those who owned the integrated risk management policy; crisis communications policy; social management policy; emergency response plans, among others.

TITLE GOES HERE

Working with our technological partner Terrabotics to map and monitor the impact zones from a potential tailings storage facility failure.  This commences with the construction of an initial terrain elevation model from high resolution satellite imagery on which modelling of different failures can be applied.  Ongoing monitoring of all changes to the terrain and environment is then offered on an appropriate timescale, supplied to the client via our own online platform.

TITLE GOES HERE

Designing and implementation of integrated risk management within a number of exploration projects that can be adapted to be fit for purpose for all stages including feasibility, construction and operation, always with closure in mind.

TITLE GOES HERE

Reviewing and improving on pre-feasibility environmental and social impact analysis for projects in countries such as Brazil and the USA.

TITLE GOES HERE

Due diligence for mining acquisitions in countries such as Brazil and Australia for commodities such as Lithium and Phosphate.
