OUR SERVICES

MINING
We have been lucky enough to work with a wide range of mining companies, helping them to revitalise their risk management so that it becomes a competitive advantage and supports the industry to become more responsible.
Mining is at our core in Satarla. Our founders: Sarah, Tankiso and Laura all met whilst working for one of the worlds largest mining companies. They saw the benefit that truly integrated, enterprise-wide risk management can bring to an organisation that wants to be sustainable yet also provide a profit to its shareholders.

Our offerings include:

Integrated risk management in mining
Satarla is regarded as the experts in understanding the role of Enterprise Risk Management in the mining sector, and how to get it to work.
We have delivered single training sessions through to full revamps of the approach to risk management used by everyone from the largest to the smallest of mining companies. These include operators, investors, royalty companies, through to service providers and customers.

Critical control automated monitoring
Many Operators are constantly on the outlook as to how they can not only keep people safe(er), but also improve their ESG as well as production. Automating control monitoring systems helps this.
Satarla have teamed up with a number of technology companies, including those who specialise in monitoring, internet of things, satellite data and analytics, through to management systems. These, coupled with our unrivalled expertise in what a good control should look like and leading indicators to it deviating from its expected performance, allow critical control monitoring to be made simple and real.

Climate change in mining
With the the advantage that we are experts in Sustainability, ESG and Climate Change... as well as mining - we routinely help mining companies with their climate strategies and documents such as TCFD
In the past year, we have run hundreds of sessions exploring what climate change means to companies such as those who work in mining. These practical workshops not only utilise scenario analysis, but also provide much of the output needed for your Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (or equivalent) reporting.

Leadership in the future of mining
Satarla's CEO Dr Sarah Gordon, and associated charity: Responsible Raw Materials are at the forefront of supporting the world responsibly provide the materials we need to live and develop
