Keiran Doyle

Research Associate (MGeol, FGS) Falmouth, UK

Keiran is a postgraduate research student based at the Camborne School of Mines, investigating the safety and sustainable development of small-scale, high-grade mining operations, where the aim is to assess the particular risks and hazards associated with technological small-scale mining on site personnel, local populations and the environment, and develop culture models to help companies improve their environmental and social sustainability.

His PhD is being carried out within the wider ‘IMP@CT’ Project, involving multiple industry and academic partners across Europe, is being funded by the EU's Horizon 2020 programme for research and innovation (Grant no.: 730411), and is developing a whole systems solution for small-scale, low-impact mining. In addition to his postgraduate studies, Keiran is a Research Associate with Satarla, and is also a fellow of the Geological Society of London (FGS).
