Edward has followed parallel career paths – training and safety management – and has more than a decade of experience from North and Sub-Saharan Africa under his belt. Earlier in his career he was a teacher of English as a foreign language, and curriculum designer. Currently completing his Nebosh International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety he also holds two teaching qualifications and a graduate diploma in computer-based learning. Having worked as a consultant and manager in the construction, EPCM, and mining sectors in Francophone Africa he has a deep appreciation of the challenges that companies face as they strive to maintain sustainable operations in difficult environments. He has a particular interest in employee and contractor competence and workforce diversity management in culturally and linguistically diverse contexts.
